Johnny Vegas Pops In For Some Sweet Charity

Johnny Vegas distributed stock from St Helens Theatre Royal to a local charity this morning.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, which has closed theatres across the UK, we have donated our St Helens Theatre Royal’s Front-Of-House confectionery stock to The Steve Prescott Foundation.

St Helens comedian Johnny Vegas popped in to collect sweets, drinks and crisps before they go out-of-date due to lockdown. The stock will be distributed to good causes.

About The Steve Prescott Foundation

The Steve Prescott Foundation raises funds for the Rugby League Benevolent Fund, Christies Hospital and special causes.

Steve Prescott played Rugby League for St Helens, Hull, Wakefield, Ireland and was a GB Lions Tourist. In September 2006 he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and was given months to live. Despite this, Steve went on to create and complete charity challenges to raise funds for research – and so The Steve Prescott Foundation was born.
